COMMON QUESTIONS

Workers Compensation physio FAQs

Do I need a referral?

Depending on your claim, a referral may not always be required to commence treatment. If you're unsure, contact our clinic and we'll guide you through the process.

Will my physiotherapy be covered?

If your Workers Compensation claim has been accepted and treatment has been approved by your insurer, physiotherapy is generally funded under your claim.

What should I bring?

Please bring your claim number (if available), your insurer details, any referral letters, relevant imaging or reports, and comfortable clothing suitable for assessment and exercise.

How long does treatment take under a Workers Comp claim?

Treatment duration depends on the nature and severity of your injury, and is guided by your rehabilitation goals and insurer-approved treatment plan. Many patients see meaningful improvement within 6–8 sessions, though more complex injuries may require an extended program.

Do you communicate directly with my case manager or employer?

Yes — with your consent, we liaise directly with your case manager, employer and rehabilitation provider to coordinate your treatment and support a safe, well-planned return to work.
