COMMON QUESTIONS

Sports physio FAQs

Do I need a referral for sports physiotherapy?

No — you can book directly without a GP referral. A referral is only required if you're claiming under Medicare's Chronic Disease Management plan, Workers Compensation or CTP.

What should I wear to my session?

Wear or bring clothing that lets us assess and test the injured area through full range of movement — shorts for hip, knee or ankle injuries, a singlet or loose top for shoulder injuries, and the footwear you train or compete in if relevant.

How do you decide when I'm ready to return to sport?

Return-to-sport decisions are based on objective testing — strength, range of motion, movement control and sport-specific function — measured against your uninjured side and the demands of your sport, not just how you feel on the day.

Do you work with coaches or personal trainers?

Yes — with your consent, we're happy to liaise with your coach, PT or strength and conditioning staff so your rehab program lines up with your training schedule and competition calendar.

Will my health fund cover it?

We offer on-the-spot HICAPS claiming for most major private health funds, so your rebate is calculated and deducted at checkout.
